Collinsville Community Library
2019 Summer Reading Program

Can You Help?

This year, we are helping 45 children develop a love for learning, and beat the summer time boredom!

Our Age 3 - K class is designed to encourage parents and kids alike to foster a love of books and learning at an early age!

Our 1st - 6th Grade program is focused on helping kids maintain what they've learned the previous school year with activities and challenges that include reading and learning. Keeping kids engaged helps prevent the 'Summer Slide' where kids loose progress during the summer months while not actively engaged in learning.

We offer prizes and incentives to the kids, but we need your help. If you can donate items for prizes for kids, you can drop them off during library hours, or email the library at

You can also mail a check to the library at the address below, or donate now with the Paypal link below. We appreciate your investment in our community!

Program Information

Children will explore all things space this summer as Collinsville Public Library presents “A Universe of Stories” during their summer library program. This year's theme explores space as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Activities include costume creation, group games, space-related crafts, art projects, science experiments, and more.

We are excited this year to offer two separate reading programs to better design age appropriate activities for the kids!
